(NEW YORK) — Inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe has agreed to a five-year, $35 million contract with the Miami Dolphins, according to The Baltimore Sun.
The 27-year-old Ellerbe had 92 tackles, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles for the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens last season.
Ellerbe joins receiver Mike Wallace and linebacker Philip Wheeler as the third big free agent signing the Dolphins made on Day 1 of free agency.
The Ravens have now lost three major players from its Super Bowl winning team. Besides losing Ellerbe, Baltimore lost linebacker Paul Kruger to the Cleveland Browns and traded wide receiver Anquan Boldin to the 49er’s.
