(MILWAUKEE) — The Milwaukee Brewers signed free agent infielder Yuniesky Betancourt to a one-year contract on Wednesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The 31-year-old Betancourt batted .447 with one home run and 14 RBIs in 18 spring training games this season with the Philadelphia Phillies, before being released on Sunday. Last season, he suited up with the Kansas City Royals, where he hit .228 with seven homers and 36 RBIs in 57 games.
