(CHUBBUCK, ID)  —  Officials have released the name of a man who was shot and killed by police during a standoff in Chubbuck Thursday night.  Authorities say 30-year-old Bradley Wilson pulled a gun on police at a convenience store near Idaho State University. He then led police on a pursuit through Pocatello that ended at the Petco store in Chubbuck. Wilson took an 18-year-old high school student hostage, and was shot by a Bannock County Sheriff’s deputy when officials felt the hostage’s life was in imminent danger.
Wilson had a history of involvement with police.   Everything from Accidents, to Lewd Conduct with a Child, to Confrontations with Police going back over 10-years.   When trying to elude police officers last Thursday, Wilson was facing felony charges of the same from last summer.  He had been in and out of jail since he was 18-years of age.    The Bingham County Sheriff’s office is conducting the official investigation.
