The three-time Pro Bowler will reportedly receive $8.5 million in the first year of the deal.

The 29-year-old Dumervil spent his entire six-year career with the Broncos where he had 225 tackles along with 63 1/2 sacks. Denver released him on March 15 after Dumervil’s agent, Marty Magid missed the deadline in renegotiating his client’s contract. Dumervil fired Magid and replaced him with Tom Condon.

“It was an unfortunate situation that happened,” Dumervil said on the way he left Denver. “I think everybody had their part in the situation.”

During the off-season, the defending Super Bowl champions have lost Ed Reed, Paul Kruger, Dannell Ellerbe and Cary Williams to free agency.
