(OWINGS MILLS, Md.) — The Ravens welcomed free agent safety Michael Huff to Baltimore on Thursday. The 30-year-old Huff will attempt to fill the cleats left by longtime free safety Ed Reed, who signed with the Houston Texans last week.
The reigning Super Bowl champions signed Huff to a three-year contract on Wednesday. The deal is worth $6 million, according to The Baltimore Sun.
The Raiders selected Huff out of Texas with the seventh overall pick in the 2006 NFL draft. In seven seasons with Oakland, the former All-Pro amassed 438 tackles along with 5.5 sacks and 11 interceptions. He was cut loose by the silver and black last week.
