(RIGBY, ID) – A Rigby Junior High School student accused of plotting a possible school shooting has been charged with battery. The student, whose name has not been released, has been placed in a juvenile detention center. Police found small caliber handguns, ammunition, and knives in the suspect’s possession. Investigators say the student was bullied, both at school and online. The Rigby School District, which has a budget proposal eliminating school resource officers, is reconsidering its options to keep officers around.
