(BOISE, ID) — The Idaho Senate has voted to move ahead with a measure that would divert money from the Fish and Game’s hunter access program to fund more wolf control. The bill, which was backed by the state’s livestock industry, would pump more money into efforts aimed at eradicating wolves, which are claimed to be responsible for excessive cattle and wildlife killings. Opponents say the legislation takes money that could be better spent in other ways.
