Sex Offender Fails to Register for 8 Years

(IDAHO FALLS, ID) — A convicted sex offender in Idaho Falls is in custody after he allegedly failed to register with the state for more than eight years. Forty-three-year-old Daniel Johnston has been living in Idaho since 2005. Police issued a warrant for his arrest after authorities from Michigan notified local officials that Johnston never alerted them about his change of address, which is a felony. Johnston remains held on a $200,000 bond.
