The Titans agreed to a three-year, $10 million deal with running back Shonn Greene Wednesday, according to ESPN.

“He is a nice complement to Chris (Johnson) and an accomplished back in his own right,” said Titans general manager Ruston Webster.  “He is a tough and physical runner who has rushed for 1,000 yards each of the last two years.”

Greene rushed for a career best 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns for the New York Jets last season. His new teammate Chris Johnson ran for 1,243 yards last season, his fifth straight season with at least 1,000 yards rushing.

Greene was drafted in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. In four NFL seasons Greene has rushed for 3,423 yards, averaging 4.2 yards per carry while scoring eight touchdowns.
