Silvio Berlusconi Convicted of Wiretapping, Sentenced to Jail
Published at(MILAN, Italy) — Former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi was convicted Thursday of breaching confidentiality and sentenced to one year in prison.
Berlusconi was found guilty of illegally publishing transcripts of wiretapped conversations.
He is unlikely to serve any jail time until all appeals are heard.
