(NEW YORK) — The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to sign free agent pitcher Kyle Lohse, according to ESPN sources.
The deal is worth $33 million over three years, but is contingent upon the completion of a physical.
The 34-year-old Lohse went 16-13 with a 2.86 ERA for the St. Louis Cardinals last season. His record over 12 MLB seasons is 118-109 with a 4.45 ERA.
Lohse has the chance to earn an additional $1 million in performance bonuses, according to the source who first reported the deal.
He will slide in as the No. 2 starter in the Brewers’ rotation behind ace Yovani Gallardo.
