Sunday Accidents Prove Fatal

(PARIS, ID) – A 12-year-old girl was killed in a three-car crash near Montpelier Sunday afternoon. The Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Office says that a total of ten people were involved in the crash, which happened along U.S. Highway 89 near Paris at around 12:30 p.m. An 18-year-old driver reportedly lost control on the icy roads and hit another car head-on. The victim was laying down in the back of one of the vehicles. Her name, as well as the names of the others involved have not been released.

Also:  One person was hospitalized following a one-car rollover along I-86 west of Pocatello Sunday. Idaho State Police say 29-year-old Lindsay Guerrero rolled her Jeep Cherokee near the U.S. 30 – I-86 Interchange. Investigators say Guerrero struck a concrete barrier, and was taken by ambulance to Portneuf Medical Center. Guerrero was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.   AND…Idaho State Police responded to a single-car rollover south of Downey Sunday night. Crews blocked U.S. Highway 91 in both directions as officials worked to secure the scene. The name and condition of the driver have not been released. The crash remains under investigation.
