“The Host,” “Tyler Perry’s Temptation” Open Friday

Creatas/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — One day after the debut of G.I. Joe: Retaliation, two more films open in theaters on Friday. 

Here’s a closer look:

— The Host: Based on the novel by Twilight author Stephenie Meyer, the story centers around aliens who take over humans’ bodies and erase their memories.  Saoirse Ronan, Max Irons, Jake Abel, Chandler Canterbury and William Hurt star.  Rated PG-13.  [Click here to read a review]

— Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor: A marriage counselor’s own relationship with her husband becomes increasingly strained when she’s tempted by a billionaire.  Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Vanessa Williams, Brandy and Kim Kardashian star.  Rated PG-13.
