Recently, the team signed the former Jets’ running back to a three-year deal worth $10 million. While he likely won’t get the bulk of the carries, Johnson isn’t a big fan of losing touches.

“I have never been a big fan of the two-back system, so I don’t know how we plan on using him,” Johnson told The (Nashville) Tennessean. “I’m not afraid of competition, but I was thinking we’d maybe get a draft pick for the other back. And you don’t give a guy that kind of money to be just a goal-line guy and in tough-yardage situations. So we’ll see what happens.”

Johnson has let it be known that his goal for 2013 is to regain his spot at the top of the running back food chain. In 2009 Johnson ran for 2,009 yards, but has yet to eclipse more than 1,364 yards in the last three seasons.

Meanwhile, Greene has spent his entire four-year career with the Jets. Last season he scored a career-high eight touchdowns and a career-high 1,063 yards on the ground.
