(NEW YORK) — Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Don Cheadle are back in action in the newest trailer to Marvel’s Iron Man 3.
The coming attraction gives the biggest glimpse yet of the movie’s plot. Downey’s genius, billionaire, playboy philanthropist is haunted by what happened in the events of The Avengers, and by terror attacks committed in his name by a ruthless enemy known as The Mandarin, played by Oscar winner Ben Kingsley.
On the run, and scarred by attacks on those he loves the most, including his girl Pepper Potts, played again by Paltrow, Stark must come to rely on his wits — and, as we see at the end of the trailer, a legion of his Iron Man suits — to defeat Mandarin.
Iron Man 3, which also stars Iron Man series director-turned-producer Jon Favreau and Guy Pearce, opens on May 3.
