Underwear Companies Looking to ‘Support’ Jon Hamm

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) — Right after recent news broke of Mad Men star Jon Hamm’s apparent preference for going without, two underwear companies have stepped up to fill the famous void.
Heating up the gossip pages recently were whispers from the show’s producers that Hamm had to cover up under his wardrobe, lest his reportedly generous attributes prove too distracting on set.
TMZ reports both Fruit of the Loom and Jockey have jockeyed for position: while the latter offered to “support” the star, both companies made lifetime offers of free underwear, the gossip site says.
“We want people to be themselves,” a Fruit of the Loom rep told TMZ, in a message meant to be passed to Hamm. “And if going Commando makes you happy, we say go for it. But in case you change your mind, we got you covered.”
For the record, the gossip site notes, Hamm has yet to confirm or deny the situation — though thanks to paparazzi pics, photographic proof in the affirmative is easily found online.
