Stallworth was in the balloon with two other people when they crashed into power lines. He was later hospitalized with serious burns, but he won’t suffer any permanent damage. Stallworth’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus confirmed that one of the other people in the balloon was Stallworth’s girlfriend.

“He’s going to be ok,” Rosenhaus told reporters. “He has some burns, but he’s going to be fine. He will be able to continue his NFL career. The injuries are not to the extent they will jeopardize his career.”

According to police, two passengers were injured and transported to a trauma-center. A third person was not injured.

A free agent, Stallworth played in just one game last season. As a member of the New England Patriots, Stallworth caught one pass for a 63-yard touchdown.

In ten NFL seasons, Stallworth has caught 35 touchdowns with the Saints, Eagles, Patriots, Browns, Ravens, and Redskins.
