(NEW YORK) — Nineties teen heart throbs get hair transplants, too. Backstreet Boy AJ McLean posted before and after photos of his new hair transplant on Instagram.
“Some girls get there [sic] boobs done some guys get abb implants all to make them happy! This was the one thing I did and I couldn’t be happier thank u dr G!!!!” he posted last month.
Through the years McLean, 35, and his band mates have sported crazy do’s from spiky blond locks to long and curly.
“It looks like they did a wonderful job for him. It looks nice and natural. He should be very happy with his result,” said hair transplant surgeon Dr. Brett Bolton.
Hair transplants are much more natural today than they were in the past.
“In the past, hair transplants were definitely very detectable. Now we move one hair at a time, so it’s completely natural,” said Bolton.
In November, McLean and his wife, Rochelle Karidis, had a baby girl named Ava. Ava and Karidis are depicted in many of the images on McLean’s Instagram account.
The “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)” crooner is set to kickoff a tour with the band on April 20.
