According to the Los Angeles Times, Eggert was injured after a bad landing during a dive. The dive, which reportedly involved multiple backflips, ended with Eggert landing back-first in the water.

Eggert was helped out of the water, according to the Los Angeles Times, and taken to a nearby hospital. While she does not appear to have broken any bones, there was concern that she may have suffered internal injuries.

Eggert is not the first star to get hurt on the diving reality show. Comedian Chuy Bravo, assistant to Chelsea Handler on her show Chelsea Lately, dropped out before the first episode aired due to a fractured heel he suffered in practice. According to the Los Angeles Times, Miss Alabama Katherine Webb left the show after suffering a back injury.

Skier Rory Bushfield ruptured his eardrum during a dive, but did not leave the show.

Eggert, along with Bushfield, NBA legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Actor Drake Bell, and former soccer star Brandi Chastain are still competing to win.
