Cap’n Crunch to Host Own Late Night Talk Show

Quaker Oats Company(NEW YORK) — Watch out Kimmel and Fallon, a new character is emerging on the late night circuit. Starting this spring, the Cap’n Crunch pirate will be hosting his very own YouTube talk show every other Tuesday at 11:35 p.m. ET.
Cap’n Horatio Magellan Crunch, the spokes-sea man’s full name, debuted in cereal commercials in the sixties. His new show, targeted at adults, will include Crunch’s sea dog side-kick as well as comedy sketches and topical banter. It will be set aboard his ship, the S.S. Guppy.
The show is being produced by the Huge digital agency with Funny or Die’s commercial production division, Gifted Youth.
Crunch isn’t the only old character who’s resurfaced recently. Kraft introduced a hi-tech Kool-Aid man last week with a CGI generated image and Twitter handle.
