(CLEVELAND) — Mike Brown is returning to Cleveland. Brown and the Cavaliers agreed on a five-year deal worth $20 million, according to ESPN.com.
Brown was fired by the Lakers at the beginning of this season and has spent his time off with family. Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert and general manager Chris Grant met with Brown over the weekend in Detroit.
Gilbert and Brown have maintained a good relationship, despite Brown being fired after the 2010 season.
Cleveland finished 24-58 under Byron Scott this season, which led to his firing last week.
Brown coached the Cavaliers from 2008-2010 and led them to back-to-back 60 win seasons before being let go.
