Jason Terry scored Boston’s last nine points, including a 3-pointer with 1:31 left in overtime that gave the C’s the lead for good.

“It’s been a tough year for me but my confidence has never wavered,” Terry said of his overtime performance. “These are the moments I live for…And it’s a long series.”

Carmelo Anthony had a game high 36 points for the Knicks, and Raymond Felton scored 16 of his 27 points during the Knicks 26-9 run to end the third quarter, bringing the Knicks within three points of the Celtics.

Paul Pierce had 29 points, eight rebounds and six assists for the Celtics in the win.

The Knicks were without the Sixth Man of the Year J.R. Smith, who was suspended for elbowing Jason Terry in the chin during Game 3.

The Celtics now trail the Knicks 3-1 in the series. Boston will attempt to become the first team in NBA history to comeback from a 3-0 playoff series deficit.

Game 5 is Wednesday night in New York.
