The couple with the lowest combination of viewers’ votes and judges’ scores is eliminated.  Judd is the first celebrity to be voted off the dance floor in season 16 of the ballroom reality show.

The singer had struggled in the competition and looked disappointed when she learned her fate.  Judd said the experience gave her a chance to face one of her “biggest fears.”  The singer added, “This is the hardest job I’ve ever loved. I’m a singer, not a dancer, and I did the best I could.”

Judd said she was eager to get back to making her album, and noted that she loved her country music fans more than ever.  She also said partner Tony Dovolani had become a lifetime friend.

On Monday night’s performance show, the judges had given Judd a score of 15 out of a possible 30 points for her samba.  Judge Len Goodman had compared Judd’s dance floor presence to Mount Rushmore.

Tuesday’s results show also featured live performances by Huey Lewis and the News and Demi Lovato — and a surprise dance cameo from judge Bruno Tonioli. Tonioli appeared as a background dancer as he channeled one of The Village People in Bachelor star Sean Lowe’s encore dance.

Host Tom Bergeron revealed Tuesday that NFL player Jacoby Jones and Disney star Zendaya had been selected by viewers as the King and Queen of Monday’s “Prom Night.”  The honor added two bonus points to each of their scores.

Dancing with the Stars returns next Monday night at 8 p.m. Eastern time on ABC.
