Free Pretzels for National Pretzel Day

GETTY 42613 Pretzel?  SQUARESPACE CACHEVERSION=1366973824866iStockphoto/Thinkstock(NEW YORK) — Craving a salty snack?  In honor of National Pretzel Day, pretzel companies around the country are giving away pretzels to hungry customers Friday.

From locations in San Diego to Philadelphia, Snyder’s of Hanover will be handing out samples of three flavors in their pretzel cart: honey mustard & onion, hot buffalo wing and bacon cheddar.

Pretzelmaker is asking customers to tell a funny joke in order to get a free pretzel.  If you can’t think of a joke, just say “National Pretzel Day” and you’ll still be able to get one for free at participating stores.

Philly Pretzel Factory is giving away one free pretzel to customers on Friday.  You can set up a reminder on their website just in case you forget.

Auntie Anne’s at the Simon Mall in Edison, N.J., is offering $1 pretzels from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.  If you aren’t near New Jersey, the company offers coupons and discounts if you sign up for their pretzel perks program.
