Iran Makes World’s Largest Ice Cream Cup

iStockphoto/Thinkstock(TEHRAN, Iran) — Just how threatening can a country be that comes up with the world’s largest ice cream cup?
While most of the world is worried that Iran is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons, there was a moment of rare levity earlier in the week when the Iranian dairy company Choopan unveiled a container with five tons of chocolate-flavored ice cream at a cost of more than $30,000.
The event took place right before the end of the Nowruz holidays in Velenchak, north of Tehran.
Unlike some boasts the Iranian government has made that cannot be proven, such as sending a monkey into space, the huge ice cream cup was a verifiable Guinness World Record.
And the best part was that many of the 10,000 people who came out to see what all the fuss was about got to enjoy some free ice cream.
