Al Jefferson had 22 points and eight rebounds for the Jazz (43-38) who had to win in order to keep pace with the Los Angeles Lakers for the final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

“It comes down to one game now,” Jefferson said. “It’s a big game. The only thing we can worry about is what we can control, going out there and trying to take care of the game, and trying to win, and just leave the rest up to the Lakers, I guess.”

In order to make the playoffs, the Jazz have to win on the road against the Memphis Grizzlies and for the Lakers to lose their season finale at home against the Rockets.

Derrick Williams paced the Timberwolves (30-51) with 18 points.
