Jobless Claims Drop to 346K to Kick Off April
Published at(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims fell by 42,000 during the first week of April, the Labor Department reported Thursday morning.
For the week ending April 6, the number of people filing for benefits dropped to 346,000. The previous week, claims stood at 388,000.
The four-week average, meanwhile, went up, increasing by 3,000 to 358,000.
