Jobless Claims Tick Up to 352,000

Spencer Platt/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) — Jobless claims rose last week, climbing by 4,000, the Labor Department reported Thursday morning.

For the week ending April 13, the number of people filing for benefits increased to 352,000.  The previous week, claims stood at 348,000.

The four-week average also went up, rising by 2,750 to 361,250.
