(NEW YORK) — New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith has won the NBA’s Sixth Man Award.
Smith became the third player in Knicks history to win the award, despite not starting one game this season.
Smith averaged 18.1 points in 80 games this season and was a key part of clinching New York’s first Atlantic Division title since 1994.
Smith has a player option for 2014 remaining on the two-year $2.8 million deal he signed this offseason.
