(NEW YORK) — The New York Knicks will begin their 2013 postseason push on Saturday against the Boston Celtics.
New York is coming off their first Atlantic Division title since 1994 and beat the Celtics three out of four games this season.
Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony also dethroned Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kevin Durant for the title of scoring champion this season.
“Mentally, physically, what I was able to do on the basketball court, as a team what we was able to do, it was by far my best season,” Anthony said Thursday.
Knicks head coach Mike Woodson is looking forward to having home court in the first round.
“This is a fun time of the year,” Woodson said Thursday. “It’s been a roller coaster, but we’ve maintained and held in there as a team.”
Tip-off at Madison Square Garden is scheduled for Saturday at 3 PM Eastern time.
