L.A. Angels Place Jered Weaver On 15-Day Disabled List
Published at(ANAHEIM, Calif.) — The Los Angeles Angels placed starting pitcher Jered Weaver on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday with a fractured left elbow.
The team says the right-hander could miss between four to six weeks after suffering the injury while trying to avoid a comebacker during Sunday’s loss to the Texas Rangers.
In two starts this season, the 30-year-old Weaver is 0-1 with a 4.91 ERA. He has struck out six and walked six in 11 innings of work.
The Halos called up right-handed pitcher Dane De La Rosa from Triple-A Salt Lake to take Weaver’s place on the roster.
