Law Protects Farmers From Tourist Lawsuits
Published at(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – A law that passed the 2013 Idaho Legislature would protect farmers and ranchers from liability when tourists visit their property. The Idaho Agrotourism Promotion Act gives limited liability to farmers who properly post warnings about risks and hazards. Proponents say the new law will lessen the anxiety many farmers face when tourists come around. The measure goes into effect July 1.
