“Mad Men” Season Premiere Draws 3.4 Million Viewers
Published at(NEW YORK) — For all the buzz it generates, Mad Men is not the most popular show on AMC. The ratings for its season premiere on Sunday night are a strong indication of that.
The sixth season of Mad Men began with a two-hour episode that was seen by 3.4 million viewers, according to Deadline. It’s the second-most-watched episode in series history, just behind the 3.5 million who tuned in to the season-five debut last year.
However, it appears the new season of Mad Men won’t be the ratings draw that The Walking Dead was this year for AMC. The season finale of The Walking Dead last month attracted an audience of 12.42 million viewers.
