N.Y. Rangers Deal Marian Gaborik To Columbus
Published at(NEW YORK) — The New York Rangers traded forward Marian Gaborik to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Wednesday for center Derick Brassard, forward Derek Dorsett and defenseman John Moore. In order for the trade to be finalized, the 31-year-old Gaborik agreed to waive his no-trade clause.
In 35 games this season with the Blueshirts, Gaborik had nine goals and ten assists for 19 points. He topped the 40-goal mark twice during his four-year stint on Broadway.
Gaborik spent the first eight seasons with the Minnesota Wild before signing a five-year, $37.5 million deal with the Rangers in 2009. In 757 career NHL games, he has 333 goals and 333 assists.
