Prison Company Falsified Records

(BOISE, ID) – A private company that runs Idaho’s largest prison south of Boise has admitted to falsifying nearly 4,800 hours of staffing records last year. Corrections Corporation of America has acknowledged that some staff members forged their hours between May and November of 2012. Officials say disciplinary action is being taken against those involved. Public records showed guards being paid for allegedly working up to 48 consecutive hours without time off. State officials found the discrepancies during an audit. CCA has been contracted to to run the prison for over a decade.
