Quentin Tarantino’s Stolen Car Recovered After Nearly Two Decades

Miramax Films/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Director Quentin Tarantino’s cherry red Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu, which was driven by John Travolta’s character in the filmmaker's 1994 movie, Pulp Fiction, has been found nearly 20 years ago after it was stolen, the San Bernardino Sun reports.

The 1964 Chevy was stolen during filming of Pulp Fiction and was recovered last week in the Oakland area after a San Bernardino County Sheriff's Deputy came across two men stripping an old model Chevrolet.  Further investigation revealed the car had a cloned Vehicle Identification Number and was in fact Tarantino's stolen Malibu. Authorities say the man in possession of Tarantino’s Malibu is not believed to be involved in the theft, and is a victim of fraud.

It's unclear if the vehicle has been returned to Tarantino.
