After coming within one out of a perfect game in his last start, Darvish allowed three runs on six hits in five innings of work to earn his second win of the season.

“I didn’t have everything today. It wasn’t my 100 percent, but I had to grind it out,” Darvish said through his translator. “The reason I was able to do that was because of all the support from my teammates.”

Ian Kinsler, Lance Berkman and David Murphy went deep for the Rangers (4-2), who took two of the three games in the opening series against their AL West Rivals.

Angels ace Jered Weaver (0-1) left in the sixth inning with a strained left elbow.  X-Rays to his non-throwing arm were negative.
