Ray Allen Makes History in Heat’s Playoff Victory Over Bucks

Mike McGinnis/Getty Images(MILWAUKEE) — Ray Allen helped the Miami Heat win a playoff game and made history on the way.
Allen scored a game high 23 points, and also broke Reggie Miller’s career playoff record for most 3-pointers made, as the Heat topped the Milwaukee Bucks Thursday. Miami now leads the best-of-seven first round playoff series 3-0.
Allen’s big night came on a night when Heat guard Dwyane Wade shot 1-of-12 from the field.
“That’s been are calling card all year,” Allen said when asked about having a big game when Wade didn’t. “We have so many guys sitting on the bench that are so productive when they get in the game. Whether you’ve played the last game or the last two or three games, you get in for two minutes and guys come off the bench and are ready.”
LeBron James had 22 points and Chris Bosh added 16 for the Heat, who will be looking for their first playoff sweep since the “Big Three” teamed up in Miami.
Bradon Jennings and Larry Sanders each had 16 points in the loss.
Game 4 is Sunday in Milwaukee. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:30 PM Eastern time.
