“Real Housewives'” Porsha Stewart Still Loves Husband After Divorce

Alex Martinez/Bravo(NEW YORK) — Porsha Stewart is finally revealing new details about her divorce from former NFL player Kordell Stewart.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star said she discovered her husband filed for divorce via Twitter.
“It was like an out of body experience,” she tells ABC News Radio. “…I didn’t think it was really happening so it was definitely not what I wanted to wake up to that morning.”
Kordell filed on March 22 in Fulton County Superior Court in Georgia, claiming the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” Court documents also showed the pair had already separated.
Porsha — who admits that “no wife wants a divorce and you definitely don’t want to live it out in public” — maintains that the hit Bravo series, which often showed a more controlling side of Kordell, didn’t cause their divorce. Yet, she has no clue what did.
“I’m sure I’ll find that out sooner or later,” she says.
Kordell was even absent during the Housewives reunion special. In fact, he was the only husband missing, and Porsha defended him. Looking back on that footage, Porsha is happy.
“I’m proud of that Porsha, I really am,” she tells ABC News Radio. “That Porsha was a wife, and loyal, and respectful of my husband and representing him at the reunion, even without him.”
“Housewives didn’t affect my personal life and my situation that happened. It was bittersweet,” she continues. “I don’t have any regrets. As far as me going onto next season, I haven’t really decided. I’m in the middle of a crazy situation right now so I’m just concentrating on that.”
Even after the divorce went public, Porsha reveals she’s still living in the same house as her estranged husband. Whether she can stay in the house, “That’s up to the courts. Whatever happens, happens. I’m sure it’ll be fair, whatever it is,” she says.
And despite the many men who are interested in scooping up the newly single “housewife,” she’s not getting back in the dating pool just yet.
“I’m not really interested in that right now,” she tells ABC News Radio. “Everything is so fresh. The love for my husband is there. The situation is disappointing. So, I’m not even thinking about that. It’s a long time before I consider any of these requests for dates.”
Now, Porsha is focusing on her music career, which she has plenty of inspiration for.
“What I’m going through I absolutely want to pour into some music,” she says. “I’m living what a lot of people across the world have been through. And I’m going to use my voice, and my spirit, and my passion and pain and put it into this new song and release it.”
