(HOUSTON) — The Houston Rockets avoided elimination with a 105-103 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night.
Chandler Parsons scored 29 points, while Patrick Beverly added 16 to help the Rockets avoid a four-game sweep.
The Thunder still lead the series three games to one.
“We felt the pain and frustration from the last two losses…and we didn’t want that to happen for the third straight time,” Parsons said.
Game 5 will be played Wednesday night in Oklahoma City.
“Getting this first win gives us confidence going back to Oklahoma City, and anything can happen,” guard James Harden said after scoring 15 points and committing 10 turnovers in the victory.
Kevin Durant led the Thunder with 38 points, and he is looking forward to returning home to Loud City.
“We’ll be all right,” he said. “We’re up 3-1 with a good opportunity to close it out at home. We couldn’t ask for a better situation, so hopefully we’ll get the job done.”
