Williams will take on Jelena Jankovic on Sunday for a shot at her second straight title in this tournament.
“We’ve definitely been through a lot since our last match. But yeah, we all come together at the end and we just try to love each other like we always do,” Serena said of the rout of her sister on Saturday.
Serena won the first set in 22 minutes. Venus had withdrawn from the previous two tournaments because of back issues.
“You know, I’ve been off balance for a long time and I’m trying to regain my balance,” Venus said after the rout.
