“Thor: The Dark World” Trailer Debuts

Eduardo Parra/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) — The first trailer for the sequel to Thor has debuted online, and the snippet for Thor: The Dark World features epic battles, and once again, the love story between Chris Hemsworth’s demi-god Avenger and his mortal scientist girlfriend, played by Natalie Portman.
For fans of the actor, and his devilish character Loki, Tom Hiddleston also appears, as Thor apparently plots to free his imprisoned adopted Avengers baddie brother so they can battle a common enemy, Malekith the Accursed. Christopher Eccleston plays the villain who threatens to destroy both Thor’s world and ours.
Thor: The Dark World, which also stars returning actors Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba and Kat Dennings, opens on Nov. 8.
