(ANN ARBOR, Mich.) –Michigan sophomore guard Trey Burke announced Sunday that he will enter the 2013 NBA Draft.
“After talking it over with my family and coaching staff and weighing all my options, I have decided to enter the NBA Draft,” Burke said at a news conference. “I feel that is the right decision for me and my future. It has been a dream of mine to play in the NBA, and I feel excited and well prepared to take that next step in my career.”
Burke was the consensus national Player of the Year and led Michigan to a berth in this seasons’ National Championship game.
Burke averaged 18.6 points, 6.7 assists and 1.6 steals per game last season.
ESPN.com draft analyst Chad Ford believes that Burke will probably be a lottery pick.
