Two Arrested After Traffic Stop

( POCATELLO , ID ) – Two people were arrested on drug charges in Pocatello early Tuesday following a routine traffic stop. Police say the pair were stopped shortly before 1 a.m. on Wilson Ave. because their pickup had a broken headlight. Officers suspected that drugs might be inside the vehicle, and a search yielded small amounts of methamphetamine, cocaine, and drug paraphernalia. 43-year-old James Smith of Rockland and 25-year-old April Steed of Pocatello were taken into custody. Investigators say both suspects have previous felony drug convictions.
