Woman Hurt in ATV Crash Sues Government

(INKOM, ID) – An Inkom woman is suing the federal government after she crashed her ATV in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest in 2011. Karen Linford is seeking $800,000 in damages. Linford rolled her ATV on a fence crossing ramp on the Inman Canyon Trail. She claims the Forest Service was negligent in its construction and care of the fence crossing, which reportedly caused her to crash. Linford is also asking for $1,300 in compensation for her damaged ATV.
