(IDAHO FALLS, ID) – An eastern Idaho woman says she was kicked out of an area restaurant because she has a service dog.  Christy Forkenbrock has a registered service dog to monitor high blood pressure. She says she was kicked out of Dixie’s Diner in Idaho Falls last month simply because she had the dog with her when she was eating. Manager Tom Hersh, who wasn’t in the restaurant at the time, is reaching out to Forkenbrock, saying she and her dog are welcome any time. Idaho’s Food Code allows service animals as an exception, provided that they are controlled and next to the person who needs them.
