“After Earth,” “Now You See Me” Open Friday
Published at(NEW YORK) — Here’s a look at the new movies opening nationwide Friday:
— After Earth: Will Smith and his teenage son, Jaden, star in M. Night Shyamalan’s latest film. They play a father-son duo, Cypher and Kitai, who crash-lands on Earth one millennium after the planet was destroyed. Kitai, taking direction from an injured Cypher, attempts to find a rescue beacon required to escape the planet. However, they face many dangers, including an animal species that rules future Earth. — Now You See Me: The FBI chases after a group of crafty illusionists which steals money from corrupt businessmen. Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Isla Fisher star. Rated PG-13.
