(NEW YORK) — New York Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez will return to the diamond at the team’s spring training complex on Monday, as he rehabs from off-season hip surgery.
Yankees general manager Brian Cashman says the 37-year-old Rodriguez has been cleared to resume baseball activities and is expected to return to the lineup sometime around the All-Star break.
In other Pinstripe news, reliever Joba Chamberlain has been placed on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 28, with a strained oblique on his right side.
