Andrew Shaw scored two goals, Jonathan Toews added his first goal of the postseason and the Blackhawks live to fight another day, topping the Detroit Red Wings 4-1 to force a Game 6 in their Western Conference semifinal series.

Bryan Bickell gave the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead in the first period before Daniel Cleary tied it at one in the second.

The Blackhawks took control of the game for good in the second period when Shaw and Toews scored on back-to-back power plays less than three minutes apart.

“Good things come from shooting the puck,” Shaw said. “There’s rebounds, there’s loose pucks, and we had all guys converging to the net and we just kept picking them up and hemming them in there and tired them out and we were rewarded.”

Corey Crawford stopped 25 shots in net for the Blackhawks.

Game 6 is Monday night in Detroit, where the Red Wings are 4-1 this postseason.
