After several rejections from cemeteries, police in Worcester, Mass., said on Thursday that “a courageous and compassionate individual came forward” to help properly bury the deceased.

Tsarnaev, 26, was killed during a violent standoff with police on April 19, days after he and his brother Dzhokhar, 19, allegedly planted homemade bombs at the finish line of the Boston Marathon.

Since then, Tamerlan Tsarnaev’s body had been kept at a funeral home in Worcester.

Dzhokhar, meanwhile, was captured alive and has been charged with using and conspiring to use a weapon of mass destruction.  He faces the death penalty.

Worcester police said Tamerlan’s body “is no longer in the City of Worcester and is now entombed.”  The location was not disclosed.
